PCS LabMentors makes it easy to integrate our labs into your courseware. Following is a list of some of the most frequently asked questions and associated answers regarding our service.
- Q. Can I do the labs more than once if I can't get it
to complete, or if I just want more practice?
- A. Yes. You paid for time on our
servers, you can use that time any way you want to.

- Q. Can I do things other than the guided activities with the lab environment?
- A. Yes. You have access to a
fully functional server or desktop environment. If you just want to explore the operating
system a little bit more, you can start up any lab and play around with
it.
- Q. What happens if I run out of lab time?
- A. This should not happen as we allocate enough
time for you to do every single lab at least twice, but if you do run
out of time just contact our tech support team and they will help you.

- Q. If I am doing a lab, will someone else be able to
connect to it?
- A. Yes, but rest assured that we
restrict access so that only LabMentors staff and your instructors can
connect to it.

- Q. None of the labs that you have really meet our curriculum requirements, could you create something else for us?
- A. Absolutely. Our lab development teams enjoy the challenge of creating custom labs.
- Q. I have a firewall. Will I still be able to do my labs?
- A. Our client software is able to
work with most simple firewalls and proxy servers; however, very strict
packet filtering firewalls will have to be configured to recognize LabMentor's site
as a trusted environment.

- Q. We already have a Learning Management System, how would your Lab Management System work with ours?

A. Our system is designed to integrate transparently with most LMS suites.

- Q. Our instructors need to be involved in the mentoring process. Can you provide them with access to the student's web-based lab environment?
- A. We can provide them with access so that can monitor or collaborate with students performing lab activities. They can optionally obtain access to a text-based private chat support room so that they can directly support students no matter where they are.

am an Instructor, will my account ever
expire?
- A. Our policy includes accounts that do not expire.
